33 Steps To Align Your Connection With Earth

Today, we are taking a journey towards authenticity and interconnectedness with Earth.

Go through the following steps to activate a new relationship with Earth, Goddess Gaia and with yourself. By doing this mindfully, you are activating new programming that empowers your earth star chakra and awakens your deepest connection as a child of Earth.

Each step takes you closer to fulfilment.  The steps don’t have to be followed in the order they are arranged here, take each step as it presents itself to you.  You are not finished until you complete all the steps. If you can’t go out into nature to do this, it’s okay to visualise it.

Step 1 – Go out into nature and affirm, loud and clear, “I acknowledge and accept my connection to Earth.”  Really feel it.  When you make this acknowledgement, something fundamental shifts between yourself and the Earth.

Step 2 – Standing in nature, notice there are beautiful roots going down from your feet into the Earth, they extend through earth, sand, rock, crystal.  You become aware of the true beauty and wonder of Earth. Honour it, say out loud, “I actively honour the Earth.”

Step 3 – Go to any place you find beautiful in nature and really see it.  Breathe in the beauty.  Enjoy the beauty.  Be grateful for the beauty.  Know that all beautiful places are power spots, they are raising your energy simply by being there.

Step 4 – Go out in nature and walk on the Earth with awareness, knowing it’s a two-way connection.  As you’re walking, be very aware of your energy going right down into the planet, and at the same time, know you are receiving energy back from the Earth.

Step 5 – Actively give your light to Earth through your twelve chakras. Go into nature and call on Archangel Michael and ask for protection. Now, standing still, open your stellar gateway chakra above your head, allowing the light to pour through it. Next, open your soul star chakra. Then open your causal chakra, your crown chakra, your third eye chakra, your throat chakra, your higher heart and heart chakras. Notice your inner light pouring down and through your chakras as you open them. Now open your solar plexus chakra, your sacral chakra and your base chakra. Allow all the light energy to flow down through the open channels of your chakras and into your earth star chakra below your feet in the Earth. See and feel the light coming right down through your chakras and then spreading out beneath your feet, at your earth star chakra, in all directions. It’s spreading peace and harmony.

Step 6 – Standing in nature, sense roots going down through your feet and into the Earth.  Within the Earth, there is a crystalline chamber at the core and there stands Goddess Gaia.  She is like a great light and your roots are going down and connecting your energy into her heart.  Her love is coming up into your earth star chakra, filling it with her love.  And then her love and light come up through your chakras into your heart centre, filling your heart with her love.

Step 7 – Take a fruit that you enjoy.  Hold it in your hand.  Smell it, feel it, bless it and thank it.  Really appreciate and honour it.

Step 8 – Go out into nature to touch and feel the soil.  Pick up the rich earth, smell it, feel it.  Enjoy the wonderful feeling of beautiful, fertile soil running through your fingers. Share a deep sense of gratitude and love for this earth, honour it and bless it.

Step 9 – Go out and find a special tree.  Feel, hold and touch the tree.  Thank it for being there and for all that it does for humanity, Mother Earth and the source of all-there-is. As you share your love and gratitude, sense the love that the tree is sharing with you. Honour your tree and all trees.

Step 10 – Go out and find an acorn, chestnut or any other tree seed.  Ask the elementals to show you where to place it in the Earth to grow. Give your love and blessings to it.

Step 11 – Go out into nature and find a place where it feels totally safe to walk barefoot.  Feel the Earth, grass or sand beneath your feet.  Notice how you feel connected to the Earth when you are barefoot.  Know that this connection is activating your earth star chakra.

Step 12 – Go out and find a flower, whatever flower presents itself to you.  What colour is it?  What does it smell like?  Gently stroke a petal and thank that flower for being in your life.

Step 13 – Go out and find a place where there’s water.  Paddle in the stream or sea, stand by a lake.  Water is sacred, water carries the pure, unconditional love of the divine source around the world.  Bless that water.  Bless it whether it’s a puddle, a raindrop, an ocean or a river.  Bless the water that you shower or bathe in, that you drink, that washes your excrement away in the toilet, bless the water that constitutes your body.

Step 14 – Go outside and take a deep breath, this is prana, it gives you life, it is your connection to source.  Breathe in, knowing that you are alive through your breath. Give thanks for the air that you breathe every day.

Step 15 – Be with fire, it may be in your hearth, an outside fire pit or bonfire, or candle flames.  See the flames flickering and crackling and transmuting old energy.  Know that every flame is clearing something, leaving just ashes behind.  Be aware that something brand new is replacing the old.  And be aware of how awesome and powerful the transmuting power of fire is. Honour the fire energy.

Step 16 – Go outside into nature and invite the creatures and animals to come to you.  Sit quietly, lovingly and harmlessly.  Because you are harmless, animals and creatures will approach you.  A squirrel, an ant, whatever comes, see their beauty, see their amazing qualities.  Notice which animals came to you and thank them for coming.

Step 17 – Go outside into nature to a suitable place with the intention of honouring the reptiles.  Sit quietly, lovingly and harmlessly.  See what comes to you, maybe a lizard or snake.  Whatever comes, know they are totally harmless.  See their beauty and amazing qualities.  They each bring gifts and are a teacher.  Thank them for coming.

Step 18 – Go outside with the intention of connecting with the birds.  Stand or sit and let the birds come and fly around you.  Songbirds singing to you of the daily news and your magnificence.  A bird of prey soaring high in the sky, demonstrating clarity and perspective.  All the birds are teaching us about freedom.  Thank the birds from your heart.

Step 19 – Go to a green and leafy place.  Notice all the beautiful greens of healing nature surrounding you.  Marvel at the process of photosynthesis and how it keeps us alive.  Feel a sense of wonder for the greenery around you, how uplifting and refreshing it is.  Thank the leaves and ferns for all they give.

Step 20 – Go to a place in nature where there’s a rock.  You might sit on it.  It’s an ancient stone, solid and enduring.  It may have been there for millions of years, keeping and recording the history of that place.  Sit there with it and tune into it.  Maybe it has a message for you.  Thank the rock and send it your blessing.

Step 21 – Go to a place where there are crystals.  Your task is to send healing to the Earth where crystals have been dug out.  Be aware of the crystals that have developed deep, deep in the Earth, holding so much light.  Take a moment to send healing energy deep into the Earth where crystals are removed.  Send your love and gratitude to all crystals that allow themselves to be brought to the surface to fulfil a calling and that offer healing and transformation for the Earth and humanity.

Step 22 – Go outside when the stars are bright in the sky.  Sense their link to Earth and how all is interconnected.  How do the stars influence you?  Notice how vast the cosmos is and how every single star is relevant to the whole.  Send your loving gratitude and blessings to all the stars.

Step 23 – Go to the sea and call forth the dolphins.  Whether you see them or not, know they are there, hearing you.  Can you sense the compassion and healing heart that all dolphins have?  Sense and acknowledge the loving, healing compassion offered by the dolphins to you.  Thank them sincerely and extend to them your blessing.

Step 24 – Go to the sea and be aware of all the ocean life and fish, all in their place, all doing their bit to support the vast oceans.  Every kind of fish and sea creature has a role, so thank them all for their important roles, honour them and the ocean.

Step 25 – Be still and bring to mind the entirety of the planet and all of humanity.  Every single person on Earth, like yourself, received an invitation from Goddess Gaia to be here and for many, it’s a very difficult journey.  Take a moment to honour and recognise every courageous soul that came here, whether they are good or bad in our perspective.  Honour everyone for being here.

Step 26 – Take a moment to be still.  Be aware that everything and everyone is a part of the divine source.  All are one.  Truly, deeply recognise this. Take a moment to offer your gratitude to all-that-is.

Step 27 – Go outside and feel the sun on your skin, even though you cannot look directly at it, you can feel it.  Thank the great and glorious sun for all it does, bringing warmth and light to Earth and us all.  Honour the sun.

Step 28 – Go outside under the full moon and honour the moon.  The silvery moon is lighting up the world with gentle, soothing and healing light throughout the night.  Take a moment to thank and honour the moon.

Step 29 – There are many structures built by our ancestors that are created as energy portals.  Such are called chambered cairns, stone circles, pyramids.  Go to such a place if you can and acknowledge that it was built by wise ancestors who understood a deep and abiding connection with Earth.  Feel the connection.  Honour all these structures and their builders.

Step 30 – Go to the mountains.  They hold high energies and beings dwell there that sing out harmonics and raise the frequency of the world.  Honour these vast places and sense their awe. Ground it through your earth star chakra.

Step 31 – Go to the forest, know that all forests of the world are connected by a great network of underground, invisible fibres and roots.  The forests are a huge library of knowledge, holders of cosmic information.  A storehouse of wisdom.  Be aware of the vast forests on Earth, honour them and give gratitude for their many gifts.

Step 32 – Go within and honour the invisible world.  The unseen shares our space.  All around us, at all times, there are elementals, angels, dragons, unicorns and spirits of all kinds.  They are helping us raise our energies, guiding us. Take a moment to thank and honour them all, for they support and illuminate our way.

Step 33 – Go within and accept the other dimensions.  We live in a world that exists as much more than just physically.  We are multi-dimensional, multi-faceted and are surrounded and interwoven with other multi-dimensional energies and beings.  Accept them all as a part of your reality and experience, for it is the truth of your being.

When you have fulfilled all these steps, you will have awakened light-codes and blueprints that exist within your energy field, that will refresh and reset your purity and perfection as a daughter or son of Earth.

Blessed Be.

A New Take On Authenticity

The other day, I was walking up on my mountain and entered an energy of deeper alertness towards all of nature around me. As I noticed this, I began to receive insights about authenticity on a new level.

We may think authenticity means being an honest and genuine person who is centred in their truth, as least, that’s more or less how I was looking at it. But all of a sudden, I realised authenticity goes a whole lot deeper.

Authenticity is to be stripped right down to our pure presence. Would we even recognise our pure presence if it was staring us in the face? We might call it our savage or primitive self.

We would be bare naked, not only physically but in every sense, emotionally, mentally, energetically.

And even if we stripped off all our clothes and rubbed earth or mud or ash over our bodies, we are not authentic until we do that to our heart and mind also.

Authenticity exists on that fine precipice between life and death. It’s basic, it’s knowing we are one with the Earth and nature, and living it in every moment.

A Western man was in the Amazon with a local tribesman. He was learning how to be a shaman. The Westerner asked the tribesman, “Why is it that when I walk into the forest, all the animals and birds stop calling. It’s as though the jungle is devoid of life. But when you walk in, the forest is alive with sound?”

“The forest recognises my spirit but doesn’t know yours. You smell wrong, your mind is full of distractions, your emotions are not controlled and your body doesn’t know how to move. You don’t know who you are so the forest doesn’t know who you are. You are not one with the forest.”

“How do I become one with the forest?”

“For a start, let go of all the baggage you’re carrying.”

Here are some affirmations that will empower your connection with the Earth through your earth star chakra. Look out for Thursday’s post for more:

“I acknowledge and accept my connection to Earth.”

“I actively honour the Earth.”

“I am connected to Source through my breath.”

Conscious Eating

I just went outside and sat at the table on my patio to eat a delicious plate of freshly sliced mango and banana. I sat down and admired the distant sea view, remembering the first time I saw that view, on Valentines Day last year when I came to see the house as a prospective buyer. And that thought took me to another and another thought, and choo! choo! I was racing away on the thought train.

I looked down, I had nearly finished the plate of fruit and not a single sentiment of gratitude or recognition of the pleasure of eating this fine fruit had passed my lips.

I put my fork down, sat back and took a deep breath. Before I ate another morsel, I now chose to consciously connect with the experience of eating.

First, I spoke my gratitude out loud to Mother Earth and her soul, Goddess Gaia. To the Creator, the Elemental Kingdom, all the trees and plants. To the elements of fire, earth, air and water. To the animals, birds, insects, reptiles and sea creatures. I took a bite of mango, it was delicious, sweet and juicy. Mmmmm. I savoured each mouthful and thought of the nourishment this fruit was bringing to my being.

As I finished, I took a deep breath and felt that breath as nourishment also. It was air, yes, but I could detect the moisture in it, I was also taking in the element of water. And I was taking in the light with each breath, the element of fire.

This is how I wish to eat, consciously. Gratefully.

Not Of This World

I can’t judge anybody else’s choices, I don’t know what your soul purpose is.

There’s no value in anybody judging mine, for you don’t know what my soul purpose is.

Don’t talk to me about the news.

Don’t ask me about covid.

Don’t think I have an opinion about global warming.

I don’t have anything to say to you. I am not unaware, I am simply engaged from a different perspective, focused on another means of expressing.

I would rather meditate and invoke healing energy for humanity and the Earth, directing the light where it’s needed, than talk about the problems.

I’m a solution focused sort of person and my modus operandi is in activating energy fields of love and light.

I am not here for the physicality of reality, nor to engage in the affairs of the world.

Mine is not a political journey,

Nor am I here to convince anybody how to think or what to do, even though I may get confused about that sometimes.

More and more, I am being shown that my soul purpose is to cut myself off from the world, to go within. My engagement with media, internet and TV is reducing as my body and mind become averse to their stimulus. My engagement with material possessions, food and physical needs are more and more minimal as I continually reduce and remove what doesn’t serve me. My engagement with people is more discerning and honest than ever.

I am not judging you if you are engaged with the narratives of the world. To me, they are just stories and only have power when we feed their narratives with our emotions.

I’m choosing not to feed them.

I am learning to release my narratives and those pertaining to humanity and the world collectively.

Talking With Plants: The Japanese Knotweed Conversation

A while ago, I considered purchasing a house with lots of Japanese knotweed growing in the garden. I’ve heard the horror stories but don’t easily succumb to fearful talk. So, I tuned into the plant diva of Japanese knotweed to find out more.

Japanese knotweed, or JK as I came to address this incredible plant, turned out to be welcoming and forthright. Far from a destructive nightmare, JK is a high vibration, powerful healing plant consciousness, waiting to co-create with humans.

When I opened my channel to communicate, first, I offered a heartfelt apology for previously pointing out the presence of JK plants opposite my house that were subsequently poisoned. Here’s the communication I received:

“It is with delight that we hear your voice and we are accepting of the apology and learning that you have faced. We wish to support you in changing your activities, your thinking and your attitude towards our beautiful plant. The plant that you call JK, and we accept that name, is a plant with a great deal to offer humanity and we do understand the concerns that humanity has over the growth rate of our plant and the resilience and robustness of our plant, that is seen as resistance. We have a role, a job to do upon the Earth. A role of collaboration and co-creation with humanity and we wish for our voice to be heard. We wish for persons like yourself who will make a place for us to be heard, and this is our desire.

We wish to reassure you that if you choose to make your home within this garden, it will be a beautiful place and you will find the ability to make connection, not only with ourselves but many other incredibly giving plants whose voices are waiting to be heard.  We are grateful that you have spoken to us in the way that you have, and that you have opened your heart to us, to work together, for we wish to let you know we have much to share and much to teach.  And you may find that, far from being a liability, our presence in your life may be amongst your greatest blessings, thus it is to have a garden full of our presence.  We wish to enliven you to such a possibility.  Whether or not you live at this place and use your time in the garden to connect with the nature beings and plant devas there, we are always available, we are always wishing to hear your voice and for you to hear ours.  We thank you for your true apology, we understand the difficulty that humans face with their perceived limitations concerning plants and their nature.  Let us, together, work to make changes to that attitude, for the relationship we offer has a potential energy and power to open up many peoples’ thinking about their relationship with plants and we are grateful that you have stepped forward to connect with us and to become an ambassador for us in the world.  We are the consciousness, the plant deva of the Japanese knotwood, and we offer you our love.”

Did you notice they referred to themselves as Japanese knotwood rather than knotweed?
The healing power of this edible plant is phenomenal. JK supports pain control, constipation, cramps, bloating, IBS, cancer, Lyme disease, autoimmune issues, brain injury and memory, mood disorders, wound healing, blood pressure, prevention of blood clots, respiratory and lung infections, regulating blood sugar levels and much more. Most of this is down to a couple of active elements in its make-up, resveratrol and emodin.

Young stems that grow in Spring are the edible part, tasting like sour rhubarb. JK can be eaten raw or cooked. Use as you would rhubarb, in savoury or sweet dishes. It works great with strawberries in a tart or fruit pie. Also as pickles, chutney or jams. Try it grilled, tempura style or sautéed in oil and don’t overcook it.

JK eaten raw with cream cheese and raisins

When harvesting in the wild, there are some lookalike plants you will need to avoid, so make sure you know what you’re doing. In many areas, JK is treated with strong chemicals, so ensure your source is indisputably untreated. Avoid roadsides, due to exhaust pollution. It’s not for you if you’re anaemic and it’s not good to eat too much at a time.

JK syrup and a biodegradable drinking straw made from last year’s JK stalks

When it grows again next Spring, I’m hoping to test whether chronic migraine can be added to the list of helped conditions, I’ve got a good feeling about this.

Have you ever tried opening up to communication with plants? Personally, I love connecting with the ones we (unfortunately) call weeds. Dandelion and nettle are encouraged in my garden, I look on them as loving and giving friends.

Love and Peace and the Happiest Man in the World

How was Christmas? One of the best things about Christmas is permission to have fun, to play, laugh and let our hair down. Did you get to do that this year?

Christmas isn’t always about having fun, sometimes it’s about grief and sadness. For some, it’s a continuation of the abuse or homelessness that is there every day.

I once heard a story about a man who everyone called “the happiest man alive.” He lived in abject poverty, no home, no job, no money, and yet, he was always full of joy. He walked the streets, everyone knew him in the neighbourhood, and he made it his business to look for something helpful to do every day. He was often found picking up litter and putting it in the rubbish bin, after all, his lifestyle meant he had an intimate relationship with the contents of bins.

In the park, people who looked sad would soon find a big smile from him. Many went to him with their problems, which is strange because he didn’t specialise in problems, he only beamed out love.

He had no family or friends, although everyone knew his name and many stopped to talk. Once in a while, someone would offer him an old woolly sweater or a hot meal which he accepted graciously. His name was Carl.

As for you and me, and Carl’s neighbours, we don’t know how to live the secret that Carl instinctively embodied.

All our feelings, thoughts, words and actions are not responses to what goes on around us but to what is going on inside.

If we feel sad, then something inside us is resonating with sadness, maybe it’s the grief of losing a loved one. Sometimes, the person we’ve lost and are grieving the lack of is ourselves.

When we are resonating love and peace inside, then we’re like Carl. It doesn’t matter what or who we lost, it doesn’t matter how unfair life seems, it doesn’t matter what others do or say, we continue to experience joy, happiness, blessings and peace because it’s always there inside.

The secret to life is to understand this truth and come to live it. We are here, right now, worrying about the Earth and the state of the world. We are embodying and expressing sadness, fear, worry, lack, not being enough, not having the answer, hopelessness, frustration, anger. The list goes on. How can we embody love and peace when we engage with everything going on outside and around us with these other emotions?

Now, imagine if everyone in the world put their energy into finding and expressing inner peace and love. Do you realise that would remove all the perceived problems in the world because everyone would be thinking and acting from peace and love? That’s the reason we are here.

Wake up, beautiful soul, stop putting yourself through so much pain, this is simple. All you need do is see it and choose it. You have the answer, we all do.

Emergence: three

The following quotation is information from Diana Cooper. When I first came across Diana, I was struck by the similarities between Diana’s writings and my own experiences with the inner planes. It felt very confirming to see the same beings saying the same things, coming from someone else. Here, Diana explains the unique soul journey that Earth brings and how the current times fit into it all. It resonates deeply for me, how about you?:

“Earth is a very rare physical planet where we have senses, feelings and emotions. All of these are gifts that were placed here specifically to give us the feeling of happiness.

Sight is precious, joyous feelings may arise from watching a soaring bird or seeing a child smile or observing the colours of flowers.

Hearing is a present from the divine. Listening to the tinkling of a silver stream, hearing the voice of a loved one and absorbing the sound of a choir singing are all designed to bring great contentment.

Touch sensation is reserved solely for a physical experience. Everything that comes into alignment when we stroke a soft, furry rabbit or float in a warm, salty sea or receive a caring massage. Sexual sensation is a special part of this, for orgasm is designed to bring two people together and lift their frequency to a higher dimension. It also holds them in the now.

Taste is another sense that’s reserved for the Earth to experience. To relish a sweet strawberry or mango on a hot day or devour a hot baked potato on a wintry one is a special sensation. With it often comes the other special Earth offering of communal sharing as people eat together.

To smell a rose or sweet lavender brings us in touch with angelic forces. To have a whiff of a perfume a loved one once wore brings a reminder of them and the world of spirit. Smells are very evocative and trigger deep memories.

Emotions were originally designed to keep us grounded in our Earth life and help us take responsibility for ourselves. However, they have become much more than that. They help us move towards or away from situations and people.

Each of the 12 chakras contain heart energy and an individual growth programme planned before birth. This creates a very challenging pathway for those dedicated to seeking enlightenment. Earth is by far the fastest and toughest school in the entire cosmos.

However, the spiritual rewards are vast and prized beyond our comprehension throughout the universes. In order to incarnate on this planet your soul must be at least a seventh-dimensional frequency. This may drop dramatically as you go through the Veil of Amnesia into a physical body and start your learning process. For some, it continues to reduce as karma is balanced from previous existences.

Many souls are choosing this particular lifetime to redress all lessons and clear out everything before the start of the new Golden Age. This is one reason why the people on Earth appear to be having such different and difficult experiences now.

When you have learned from and overcome these lessons and experiences, incredible changes occur. The heart initiates the human process and pushes it forwards. As this happens, the consciousness of the soul evolves. You want to pursue a lifestyle that is loving, co-operative, sharing and interconnected with the whole of humanity.

This expanded outlook allows you as a master to be aware of who you really are. You know that you are spirit in a human form. This realization alone completely changes every aspect of your life, as then you bring Christ consciousness into every thought, word and deed. These changes are occurring now in people worldwide. It is predicted by the Intergalactic Council that by 2032 the entire vibration of Earth and its inhabitants will be fifth-dimensional.”

Winter Solstice 2021: The Sun Stands Still

At 15.58 UK time (GMT) today, it’s the very moment of Winter Solstice 2021.

At exactly that moment, the sun stands still between its going and coming, leaving and returning.

The word ‘solstice’ means ‘sun stands still’.

The sun stands poised at the extent of darkness, gathering itself for the reappearance of the light.

This is the moment of renewal.

We rekindle the spark of light in ourselves and each other.

We are reconnecting to the light that is within and without.

You may think, in many ways, that these are dark times for Earth and humanity

But there has never been so much light shining throughout the Earth as now.

Gifted by the divine, increased with deepest love by archangels, ascended masters and star beings who are on the journey with us.

Let your heart embrace the renewal of the light,

Now, more than ever before.

This is a time of year when many people across the globe are opening their hearts to love,

To giving and receiving,

Sending cards of loving gratitude to each other.

Gathering together in celebration with family and community.

This is the time to tune into that powerful vibration of love,

To connect with the tremendous Christ light that begins to flow down to Earth and humanity from the moment of the solstice.

So, I ask you now,

At the moment of solstice at 15.58 GMT today,

Draw all the light into your being and send it to the leaders of the world, those who are visible and those who are invisible,

The ones that shape the future, they can create peace.

Together, we will open their hearts and minds.

Together, we will seed love,

Together, we will transcend fear.

Together, we will change the world.

My blessings to you this festive season,

May love pour into your heart,

May your heart open to receive the loving light that’s waiting to enter,

May the infinite blessings of the divine source pour over and through your being, cleansing, healing and enriching you.

My gratitude is with you, thank you for being present in my life,

Amenet Drago

Emergence: two

Hopi Indian Chief White Eagle has recently shared a message about the current world situation. In the light of my recent post ‘Emergence: one’ I felt this was quite relevant, providing further understanding of the coming times:

“This moment that humanity is living through can be considered a door or a hole. The decision to fall into the hole or go through the door is yours.

If you consume information 24 hours a day, with negative energy, constantly nervous, with pessimism, you will fall into this hole.

But if you take the opportunity to look at yourself, to rethink life and death, to take care of yourself and others, you will go through the door.

Take care of your home, take care of your body. Connect with your spiritual home. When you take care of yourself, you take care of others at the same time.

Do not underestimate the spiritual dimension of this crisis. Adopt the perspective of an eagle that sees everything from above with a broader vision.

There is a social demand in this crisis, but also a spiritual demand. The two go hand in hand. Without the social dimension, we fall into fanaticism. Without the spiritual dimension, we fall into pessimism and futility.

You are prepared to go through this crisis.
Grab your toolbox and use all the tools at your disposal. Learn to resist by the example of the Indian and African peoples: we have been and continue to be exterminated. But we never stopped singing, dancing, lighting fires and having joy.

Don’t feel guilty for feeling lucky in these difficult times. Being sad and without energy doesn’t help at all. Resilience is resilience through joy!

You have the right to be strong and positive. You have to maintain a beautiful, cheerful and bright posture.

This has nothing to do with alienation (the ignorance of the world). It is a strategy of resistance.

When we walk in the door, we have a new view of the world because we have faced our fears and difficulties.

This is what you can do now:

  • Serenity in the storm,
  • Keep calm, meditate daily,
  • Make a habit of encountering the sacred every day.

Demonstrate resilience through art, joy, trust and love.”

Emergence: one

This is my orchid. Every year at this time, in time for Christmas, two flowering stems begin to emerge. Once they are fully open, the flowers last for a remarkable three months. And then they begin to wilt and die.

I love the entire process from the first moment of noticing the new growth to the eventual decaying of the blooms. It’s emergence, the story of life and death is told through it all.

And I turn myself to face all that I feel is emerging, without judgement or fear.

Recently I heard from a reliable source that there is much upheaval ahead, that such upheaval is the coming journey of our beloved Mother Earth and therefore, will involve us all.

What I heard could be scary and I don’t know if it’s going to unfold that way or not, but it got me thinking. It goes against my expectations, I anticipate another thirty years of living on this Earth, maybe. And hope to meet more beautiful souls, to love and be loved by, moving forward on my soul path, living my life, lots of painting, fulfilling dreams. We all expect there to be a future. But what if there isn’t?

I had to think about that. Then I realised, deep in my heart, that it doesn’t matter. I have never felt afraid of the transition we call death and know it won’t stop me doing whatever work my soul is here to do, whether from this side or the other.

If life is destined to get chaotic, then chaos will emerge. If everything comes crashing down, I trust it is required to happen that way. If not, contemplating such a possibility brings riches of its own.

Whatever’s emerging, it’s all as precious as watching the blooms of my orchid unfold. Even if it seems as though darkness is emerging, that we are facing the darkest and most threatening times of all. Even then, with our invisible roots extended into the Earth and hearts full of love and peace, we don’t need to be afraid. We have nothing to fear, there never was, is or will be anything to fear, no matter what.

The wise Grandmothers are telling us, do not meet fear with fear. Fear is like a disease, it’s catching and spreads like a contamination.

Fear is everywhere, people are being activated by it. People are turning on each other through their fear. Everything is polarised. So, stay in your heart, remain connected to the web of light, do not move into fear yourself. Whatever happens, whatever you encounter, do not succumb to judgement or fear. Allow, accept, remain in your peace, know how to connect with your inner peace and stay with your heart foundation which is love. You are a divine being.

If we engage the future with fear, we will end up attracting exactly what we fear. Stay calm, stay engulfed in peace and love, don’t engage with fear, now or ever.

As my orchid emerges, I will share the story of her flowering with you and we will learn together to embrace beauty, even through darkness, even as life transforms into death.

Are you scared about the future? Why are you scared? How does fear help you? How does fear hinder or hurt you? How can you transform your fear into peace, love and acceptance? How does doing that feel?
