Making Pearls From Grit

“When you create yourself, at some point you’re going to have to either let that creation go and take a chance on being loved or hated for who you really are, or you’re going to have to kill who you really are and fall into your grave grasping onto a character that you never were.

What is the grit that the pearl is built around? The pearl is the personality that you build around yourself as a protection against the thought, “If they ever find out that I’m worthless, if they ever find out that I’m not enough, I’ll be destroyed.”

The avatar you create and the cadence you come up with that’s pleasing to people, it takes them away from their issues and makes you popular, and then at some point you have to peel it away. It’s not who you are.

This is what everybody goes through when they create themselves to be popular or successful. You act a certain way and say a certain thing and lie through your teeth at times, and you do whatever you need to do to look like a winner.

And then at some point in your life you have to say, “I don’t care what it looks like. I found the hole in the psyche and I’m going through and I’m going to face the abyss of not knowing whether that’s going to be okay with everybody or not.”

At some point, they’re going to try to drown you in the middle of that abyss. But no, be the other guy. You told us you were this guy, the character you built, but no one can live with that forever.

People sometimes exist so completely in their character, they maybe don’t know how to get out of it or how to take another road. So, they might take the ultimate road, where they actually have to leave the planet to get out.

All we really yearn for is our own absence. We yearn for what happens at death.

I don’t have to worry about that anymore. I truly feel like if you ask me where I live right now, where the real me is, I would say that there’s a quiet, gentle seat in the universe that seems to contain everything and that’s where I am.

I don’t want anything. I have no ambition. I don’t have to go anywhere. That’s fascinating to me now….. the disappearing.”

Singing Yourself Back Home

Although a certain amount of clarity can be perceived through the fog of life, there is always yet more awareness and understanding to come, when what was lost is found. What is lost is your truth, freedom and power, that which was stolen from you.

And now it is time to call those energies back. Keep calling the energies that belong to you home. Keep demanding that they are released by those who took them. It is time. It is time to call yourself home, to finally be complete and healed.

You have been waiting and this is now possible. When you have re-integrated all your missing energies that were lost and stolen, then, the full extent of your soul purpose will be seen, like a sun that emerges from behind a dark cloud.

And it will be magnificent. It will truly be blessed. You will herald it as a marvel. And there will be so much love and support available to you from every side. Then, you will become the fulfilment that is your soul’s destiny.

Right now, your greatest need is to sing yourself back home.

Möbius Loop

Have you ever wondered how it is that the person in the family that had the hardest time often ends up the most insightful, healed and spiritually aware?

It’s true for myself and several people I know, both in my wider family and outside of it, but not always so.

I think, in the end, it’s down to us. We are given adversities for a reason, they are teachers and they will fast-track us to greater fulfilment if we let them. Or maybe we’ll fall apart, or remain asleep.

I was meditating today, sending love and talking with my healed and integrated inner children.

I received understanding that I was sending loving energy to each child in the past.

Which means I was sending loving energy to myself as a child at all the most traumatic times.

I was even loving and supporting myself as a foetus in the womb, waiting to be born.

And myself as a sixty year old was present energetically at my own birth, waiting to hold my newborn self, greeting her and wrapping her up in unconditional love.

As an experience, that’s truly amazing, so precious and magical, and it’s thanks to Jen Peters’ masterful skills as a multidimensional healer and inner child guide that I get to experience it.

It’s no surprise, therefore, that I managed to survive as a child, even though I couldn’t see anybody there for me at the time.

I often felt alone and yet found resilience and strength inside, without which I don’t think I would have survived.

All the time, I was giving strength and love to my child selves from my future selves.

There’s no past, present and future, in reality, time is an illusion, it’s all happening at once.

Who you become in the future is who you always were.

Trust and believe in yourself, your best self is waiting for your invitation to step forward now.

You really are far more incredible than you might imagine.

Conscious Eating

I just went outside and sat at the table on my patio to eat a delicious plate of freshly sliced mango and banana. I sat down and admired the distant sea view, remembering the first time I saw that view, on Valentines Day last year when I came to see the house as a prospective buyer. And that thought took me to another and another thought, and choo! choo! I was racing away on the thought train.

I looked down, I had nearly finished the plate of fruit and not a single sentiment of gratitude or recognition of the pleasure of eating this fine fruit had passed my lips.

I put my fork down, sat back and took a deep breath. Before I ate another morsel, I now chose to consciously connect with the experience of eating.

First, I spoke my gratitude out loud to Mother Earth and her soul, Goddess Gaia. To the Creator, the Elemental Kingdom, all the trees and plants. To the elements of fire, earth, air and water. To the animals, birds, insects, reptiles and sea creatures. I took a bite of mango, it was delicious, sweet and juicy. Mmmmm. I savoured each mouthful and thought of the nourishment this fruit was bringing to my being.

As I finished, I took a deep breath and felt that breath as nourishment also. It was air, yes, but I could detect the moisture in it, I was also taking in the element of water. And I was taking in the light with each breath, the element of fire.

This is how I wish to eat, consciously. Gratefully.

The Gifted

There are two sides to the same coin,

And just the same, we may have two sides

Because of the gift we bear.

When we have a gift,

We contend with what it costs to have that gift.

And it’s hard to say what that cost will be.

The gift could be anything, any talent, ability or skill,

And it often comes from darkness

For, it is our earliest adversities that give birth to our greatest gifts.

The cost of that gift is the darkness that comes with it.

And if the darkness eats us up,

If we’re holding anger within us because of adversities from the past,

Be aware of the anger you hold inside.

Anger is a potent spice,

A pinch wakes us up, too much dulls our senses.

Anger is our fighter self who keeps us moving forward

But also, it paralyses.

Our strength came from darkness,

Our hope is in darkness.

We are light and dark, we are all of it.

As long as we accept it as so,

We will not be consumed.

What To Do When You’re Struggling (And Also When You’re Not)

An important thing you can do whenever you’re struggling is find at least three, preferably five, things to do that day which are loving, nurturing and caring towards yourself.

Be fierce when it comes to loving yourself and you might bypass a whole heap of suffering and self doubt.

The Divine Source is not floating above you but exists at the very heart of your being.

Therefore, love yourself intensely and give yourself immeasurable support, attention and affection.

Let The Highest Good Be Done

“What hurts you blesses you

Darkness is your candle

Boundaries are your quest.”

⁃ Rumi

I used to ask for protection from negative energies but now I ask for the protection that my soul and soul group are choosing for me, to allow the adversities that it’s in my interests to receive to happen.

I used to ask for every bad situation that brings me down to be removed but I don’t do that anymore.

I let things take their course and allow adversity to be another opportunity to sit with the energies that my soul has called into my life.

I’ve lived long enough to know that beautiful things are born through adversity.

Things that wouldn’t get a chance to blossom if we didn’t go through the destructive fires of transformation first.

Before you can rebuild, you have to tear the old world down.

And that’s why it’s not our task to stop the war in Ukraine, unless doing so is for the highest good.

I don’t pray for peace expecting wars to go away anymore.

I pray for peace knowing peace will find its way to where it can be accepted.

I don’t know the value of the adverse conditions of this war or for what reasons they manifested.

I ask, instead, for the highest good to be supported and for all those involved to be strengthened and receive all they need on their soul journey.

That leaves room for the best outcome to be whatever it needs to be.

Make Space For Divine Magic Every Day

Where does divine magic reside?

Everywhere, but especially

In the spaces in between.

Between our words, our actions, our thoughts.

Divine magic is connectedness.

When the mind isn’t deeply engaged in a task,

When its relaxed, free to meander nowhere in particular,

That’s when we become available,

When the non-ordinary realms can connect into our open and undirected energies,

That’s when the magic happens.

That’s how we channel.

When/where do you feel most connected to the inner planes?

Maybe when you’re lying in bed at night or first thing in the morning,

Maybe in nature, when you’re experiencing the expansive energies of the great outdoors.

Do you ever wonder, “How can I get in touch with my spiritual guides?” Or maybe you wish to know your soul family, or the angels, fairies, tree spirits or ascended masters? Perhaps you’d like to invite a dragon or unicorn guide into your life…

By cultivating space between our thoughts, we leave room for the invisible realms to connect and communicate with us.

Let’s make space for divine magic every day,

Let your mind be free to meander, daydream, ponder, zone out

Allow yourself to wander in and out of consciousness.

Let go

We need more spaces between our thoughts to let divine magic flow in.

What’s On Your Tomb?

The ancient Egyptians honoured death and if they could afford to, they created the most amazing and beautiful tombs to house their bodies after they died. On the walls of the tomb, they depicted everything they wished to manifest in the afterlife, so that they could continue living their best life. Thus, we see hunting scenes, great feasts, family members gathered together in fondness, all the riches of life, the activities, objects and experiences they loved best. Sometimes, they depict themselves with the deities, as if they are saying, “Here’s one of me in the afterlife with my bestie, the great Goddess Isis!”

This was a form of transmutation to them, by magically depicting the world they wished to live in and filling it full of all they desired, they intended to draw the energy of that reality to them when they left their earthly existence.

The truth is, the spirit doesn’t need earthly things in the next realm, but it can manifest them if it so chooses. My grandfather never smoked during the years I knew him, so I was puzzled why he always brings the smell of tobacco when he visits me in spirit. One day, I asked my mother, she told me he had been a heavy smoker until he was diagnosed with cancer when I was a baby. He survived for nearly twenty years after that, as a non-smoker, during the years I remember him. Nevertheless, he seems to have chosen to revive that particular pleasure again, once arriving on the other side where smoking can do no harm.

The tomb I imagine for myself would depict the lush green richness of nature; woodlands, seashore, rivers and valleys. I will paint an underwater seascape of coral reefs and kelp forests with shoals of rainbow fish and a diving cormorant. A landscape filled with birds and wildlife belonging to the British isles; fox, stag, hawk, raven and bee. The ceiling shall depict a night sky with a mass of stars coalescing into the Milky Way.

All those I love shall be painted with me, whether physical or spiritual beings. I shall paint a temple of serenity for us to sit together in stillness and peace whilst we emanate loving vibrations for all that need them.

On the lower walls, the underworld shall be represented along with drumming, dancing, music, singing and chanting around a fire. I will honour and depict the Elemental Kingdom and the Crystalline Consciousness, call in divine magic and make sure my shamanic drum and painting kit are present for me to access from the other side. And there shall be as many cats as I have known in life, in their colours and patterns, each one illustrated with their earthly name.

If you could create, or have created, paintings and carvings to conjure up the world your spirit will live in after you die, what would you represent on the walls of your tomb?

Andy’s Prayer

This is Andy’s Prayer, it’s an updated version of The Lord’s Prayer, which is the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples to say.

Those that know me will surely know Andy too. He is the soul that my soul came into this life to spend thirty-nine wonderful years with, living and loving side by side. As souls, we looked for each other and, upon meeting, there was recognition. We have given each other nourishment at every level. We have grown together, enabled each other and learned so much from each other. As souls, we will always hold each other in our hearts.

Andy finished writing this prayer two days ago on Twosday. Day 22 of month 02 in the year 2022

A palindrome number and a day that was full of powerful manifesting energy of transformation.

He finalised it at 22:22. Here’s Andy’s Prayer:

Soul Maker

Divine Source of the infinite

Sacred is your name

Our existence in all things come

Your intent manifestly done

Upon Gaia as within the multiple realms

Shared amongst us your true divinity

And forgive us our blinded ego

As we too forgive our connected kin

Guide us not to harm

And protect us from deception

For ours are the multiple universes

The creation of all beings

Elemental and Angelic

In awe and with grace

May love guide our way
