Seeing The Light: Death As Birth

Imagine you’re sent away from everyone you love and who love you, everyone who understands you. Imagine you go to a place where existence is difficult, not least because you have a bad case of amnesia and can’t remember who you are or where you’re from.

Perhaps, you don’t feel like you belong, as though somewhere, deep down, you know you’re not home. Despite this, it’s not all hard work, there’s a lot to learn here, you’re becoming more aware of your truth and enjoying the delights that life has to offer.

Then, one day, through a situation that makes you think it’s the end of the road, that your life is over, suddenly there’s a great light. Life has brought you your death because your soul called it. It’s time to go and Life has finished with being your teacher. You didn’t want to die but the light feels so peaceful, so calm and so full of love. You’ve never felt anything as wonderful as this before.

But wait, wasn’t this what home felt like? All of a sudden, you know that your true home and true soul family and everything you’ve always been missing is right there on the other side of the light.

You only wish to enter the light and go home, nothing has felt more blissful, more beautiful, more right, for as long as you remember. You know there are loved ones that you’ll be leaving behind, if you go, but you instinctively know it’s their home too and one day they’ll be with you again. And you know that, from where you’re going, you can visit them whenever you wish.

As you step forward to enter the light, you experience the greatest surge of the most profound bliss and love and peace. It cannot be understood except by being there. You are simply aware of your oneness with all, your love of all, your divine unity.

Your true form, as a being of light is revealed to you. For a moment, you sense yourself suspended, floating between the indescribable beauty of planet Earth and the divine light before you. In that moment, the surge of love and truth that opened you up and revealed your divinity, is grounded and anchored into the planet, like a shaft of lightning. Mother Earth is present and she gifts the energy of that moment to all the beings living on Earth. This is your gift to your loved ones on Earth, for in this moment, you love every being in equal measure. In the next instant, a connecting cord is untethered from Earth and you are free to gently drift into the light.

As you enter the light, familiar figures come forward with beaming faces to greet you with such heartfelt love. And you know, at last, you are home. It’s as though you have been reborn and you’ve finally woken up from a strange dream.

Stepping Away to Reconnect

When we wish to connect deeper with someone or a situation or idea, it often helps if first we step away to go deeper into ourselves.

In stepping away, we go within and find the light within ourselves and then we reconnect from a more meaningful and profound place.

Many of us are finding ourselves almost forced into an isolated world, separated from others more than ever. The reason this is becoming our soul journey is to make sure we go within and find our inner peace and learn to unconditionally and unashamedly love ourselves wholly.

Then, we heal, we realise that we are not meant to remain alone, that humanity is a collective. We are ready to understand, from a place of inner peace and love that we are nothing without each other. From that place of inner peace and self love, we reconnect.

Wow!

What does it mean to be alive, now?

I’m having a day full of wow moments today. Even when experiencing the ‘everyday’, I’m seeing wonder where I wouldn’t previously have noticed it, wondrous moments that usually appear as the mundane.

Just now, a magpie landed on a nearby tree. I watched it, marvelling at its beauty and wondered if it was also having a wow moment or simply accepting the now. Another magpie swooped by and the one on the branch watched it, there was a kind of dance of knowing between them.

Somehow, all this seemed quite magical, amazing, like a gift of life. Like being super-aware. Like tuning in at a much deeper level. Like connecting with the magpie and the tree somehow. Maybe like if you take certain drugs and yet no drugs were taken. And I realised in that moment, nothing outside of me changed, what changed to create this incredible perception is me inside.

I also find there are times when I feel like I might cry and nothing is going on to justify it. Just a momentary welling up of emotion. At first, this concerned me because feeling tearful must mean deep sadness is trying to surface, surely? But then I noticed it wasn’t sadness, it was a kind of poignancy, even joy. A recognition of a deeper connection with life.

The take-home message is that wonder and magic are everywhere, all the time. This world we live in is paradise now, we just need to learn how to see it that way. We already are enlightened and awake. It’s just a question of a shift inside us. We let go of the expectations and agreements that deaden us to the wonder and all of a sudden, wow!

Winter Solstice 2021: The Sun Stands Still

At 15.58 UK time (GMT) today, it’s the very moment of Winter Solstice 2021.

At exactly that moment, the sun stands still between its going and coming, leaving and returning.

The word ‘solstice’ means ‘sun stands still’.

The sun stands poised at the extent of darkness, gathering itself for the reappearance of the light.

This is the moment of renewal.

We rekindle the spark of light in ourselves and each other.

We are reconnecting to the light that is within and without.

You may think, in many ways, that these are dark times for Earth and humanity

But there has never been so much light shining throughout the Earth as now.

Gifted by the divine, increased with deepest love by archangels, ascended masters and star beings who are on the journey with us.

Let your heart embrace the renewal of the light,

Now, more than ever before.

This is a time of year when many people across the globe are opening their hearts to love,

To giving and receiving,

Sending cards of loving gratitude to each other.

Gathering together in celebration with family and community.

This is the time to tune into that powerful vibration of love,

To connect with the tremendous Christ light that begins to flow down to Earth and humanity from the moment of the solstice.

So, I ask you now,

At the moment of solstice at 15.58 GMT today,

Draw all the light into your being and send it to the leaders of the world, those who are visible and those who are invisible,

The ones that shape the future, they can create peace.

Together, we will open their hearts and minds.

Together, we will seed love,

Together, we will transcend fear.

Together, we will change the world.

My blessings to you this festive season,

May love pour into your heart,

May your heart open to receive the loving light that’s waiting to enter,

May the infinite blessings of the divine source pour over and through your being, cleansing, healing and enriching you.

My gratitude is with you, thank you for being present in my life,

Amenet Drago

On Where To Look For God

“God likes to play hide-and-seek, but because there is nothing outside of God, God has no one but themself to play with. But they get over this difficulty by pretending that they are not themself. This is God’s way of hiding from God.

God pretends that they are you and I and all the people in the world, all the animals, plants, all the rocks and all the stars. In this way, they have strange and wonderful adventures, some of which are terrible and frightening. But these are just like bad dreams, for when God wakes up they will disappear.

Now, when God plays “hide” and pretends that they are you and I, God does it so well that it takes God a long time to remember where and how they hid themself. But that’s the whole fun of it, just what God wanted to do.

God doesn’t want to find themself too quickly, for that would spoil the game. That is why it is so difficult for you and me to find out that we are God in disguise, pretending not to be God. But, when the game has gone on long enough, all of us WAKE UP, stop pretending, and REMEMBER that we are all one single Self – the God who is all that there is and who lives forever and ever.

You may ask why God sometimes hides in the form of horrible people, or pretends to be people who suffer great disease and pain. Remember, first, that God isn’t really doing this to anyone but God. Remember too, that in almost all the stories you enjoy there have to be bad people as well as good people, for the thrill of the tale is to find out how the good people will grow as they get the better of the bad.”

Emergence: one

This is my orchid. Every year at this time, in time for Christmas, two flowering stems begin to emerge. Once they are fully open, the flowers last for a remarkable three months. And then they begin to wilt and die.

I love the entire process from the first moment of noticing the new growth to the eventual decaying of the blooms. It’s emergence, the story of life and death is told through it all.

And I turn myself to face all that I feel is emerging, without judgement or fear.

Recently I heard from a reliable source that there is much upheaval ahead, that such upheaval is the coming journey of our beloved Mother Earth and therefore, will involve us all.

What I heard could be scary and I don’t know if it’s going to unfold that way or not, but it got me thinking. It goes against my expectations, I anticipate another thirty years of living on this Earth, maybe. And hope to meet more beautiful souls, to love and be loved by, moving forward on my soul path, living my life, lots of painting, fulfilling dreams. We all expect there to be a future. But what if there isn’t?

I had to think about that. Then I realised, deep in my heart, that it doesn’t matter. I have never felt afraid of the transition we call death and know it won’t stop me doing whatever work my soul is here to do, whether from this side or the other.

If life is destined to get chaotic, then chaos will emerge. If everything comes crashing down, I trust it is required to happen that way. If not, contemplating such a possibility brings riches of its own.

Whatever’s emerging, it’s all as precious as watching the blooms of my orchid unfold. Even if it seems as though darkness is emerging, that we are facing the darkest and most threatening times of all. Even then, with our invisible roots extended into the Earth and hearts full of love and peace, we don’t need to be afraid. We have nothing to fear, there never was, is or will be anything to fear, no matter what.

The wise Grandmothers are telling us, do not meet fear with fear. Fear is like a disease, it’s catching and spreads like a contamination.

Fear is everywhere, people are being activated by it. People are turning on each other through their fear. Everything is polarised. So, stay in your heart, remain connected to the web of light, do not move into fear yourself. Whatever happens, whatever you encounter, do not succumb to judgement or fear. Allow, accept, remain in your peace, know how to connect with your inner peace and stay with your heart foundation which is love. You are a divine being.

If we engage the future with fear, we will end up attracting exactly what we fear. Stay calm, stay engulfed in peace and love, don’t engage with fear, now or ever.

As my orchid emerges, I will share the story of her flowering with you and we will learn together to embrace beauty, even through darkness, even as life transforms into death.

Are you scared about the future? Why are you scared? How does fear help you? How does fear hinder or hurt you? How can you transform your fear into peace, love and acceptance? How does doing that feel?

Walking in Nature

If you go into nature with a spiritual demeanour, this is how it might be done.

Call in your guides, soul and soul group.

Set your protection.

Embody love and peace throughout your being.

Move through the landscape slowly and sit down when you find a spot that draws you.

Notice everything.

Every rustle, every leaf fall, every scent, sound, feeling.

Notice, especially, every sensation of your body. Every intuitive inclination.

Notice when the breeze is busy and when it ceases. Hear the rustling leaves as they greet you.

Everything is language, everything is aware of you, talking to you.

Really understand, there is no separation.

You are communing with the invisible.

I don’t mean the birds, animals, trees, they are the mediators through which the invisible speaks.

You are in the presence of the consciousness of nature. The elemental kingdom.

So, introduce yourself and invite a reply.

You are addressing the tree spirits, plant spirits, earth, air, fire and water beings.

They don’t communicate with thoughts or words.

Yet, they perceive your body and sense your feelings.

Communicate by broadcasting your emotions and use gestures and body movements to express your intentions.

Feelings and body gestures build a bridge between us and the nature beings.

Put rational mind aside, it is no use to you here, try not to understand, only to feel.

“Please Call Me By My True Names”

Do not say that I’ll depart tomorrow
because even today, I still arrive.

Look deeply: I arrive in every second
to be a bud on a spring branch,
to be a tiny bird, with wings still fragile,
learning to sing in my new nest,
to be a caterpillar in the heart of a flower,
to be a jewel hiding itself in a stone.

I still arrive, in order to laugh and to cry,
in order to fear and to hope.
The rhythm of my heart is the birth and
death of all that are alive.

I am the mayfly metamorphosing on the surface of the river,
and I am the bird which, when spring comes, arrives in time
to eat the mayfly.

I am the frog swimming happily in the clear pond,
and I am also the grass-snake who, approaching in silence,
feeds itself on the frog.

I am the child in Uganda, all skin and bones,
my legs as thin as bamboo sticks,
and I am the arms merchant, selling deadly weapons to
Uganda.

I am the twelve-year-old girl, refugee on a small boat,
who throws herself into the ocean after being raped by a sea
pirate,
and I am the pirate, my heart not yet capable of seeing and
loving.

I am a member of the politburo, with plenty of power in my
hands,
and I am the man who has to pay his “debt of blood” to my
people,
dying slowly in a forced labor camp.

My joy is like spring, so warm it makes flowers bloom in all
walks of life.
My pain is like a river of tears, so full it fills the four oceans.

Please call me by my true names,
so I can hear all my cries and laughs at once,
so I can see that my joy and pain are one.

Please call me by my true names,
so I can wake up,
and so the door of my heart can be left open,
the door of compassion.

Abundance is Who We Are

What is abundance to you?  Is it having everything?  Is it being rich?  What is being rich?  Is it having lots of money?  Perhaps it’s those moments when something touches your heart, when you see something differently?

Abundance is all of those and more.  If we are divine beings, if we are complete, then we are abundant.  And yet, the idea of being divine or complete may be even more of a challenge than considering ourselves abundant.

Many grow up with a feeling of lack or scarcity.  A sense of limitation, of poverty in some sort of manner, whether material or emotional or something else.  If we grew up feeling we weren’t good enough, then we experienced lack.  Lack of love and lack of worthiness.  And abundance is the opposite of that.

Abundance is limitless love, limitless worth and regard, abundance is being enough, having enough, always more than enough.  Abundance is not limited to one, it is unity consciousness.  We can only be abundance because we are energy beings that are not, in truth, separate, we are collective energy of the divine source scattered but always connected.  As the divine source, we are everything and therefore we are abundant.

Imagine that you can hear angels singing.  Imagine what that might sound like.  There is such harmony, resonance, beauty, richness, sweetness, peace and love emanating from this sacred choir of angels.  So much so, it would easily bring tears to your eyes, tears of joy and bliss.  The sound is complex because it weaves together multitudinous levels, tones and vibrations.  You begin to realise that you are not hearing the sound with your ears but with your entire being, with every cell and particle of your body, mind and spirit.  This is the sound of the universe.  You realise, more and more, that this is the sound of all-that-is and that your personal sound is present within this celestial orchestra too.

The sacred sound flows through your being, stirring every part of you.  Notice how it resonates for you, with you.  See if you can pick out the sound that is originating from your core.  What does the harmony that emanates from your core sound like?  Is it not truly beautiful?  Does it not resonate perfectly with the angelic choir?  And as you tune in again to the whole, are you not aware of the expansiveness of this united harmonious sound?  You are hearing the sound of every soul, every living being or energy, visible or invisible.  Every note is different and diverse and yet, the entirety and wholeness of this sacred vibration is unified, whole and complete, as are you.

You are as equal and important as any other note that is present in that immense celestial choir.

How did you experience the sound?  Was it energy moving through your being?  Was it expressed as an emotional experience?  Did you sense the energy and power of the vibrations viscerally within your chest cavity?  The universal frequencies may be so subtle as to be beyond the human experience, and yet you still receive them as your soul.

The song you heard, the multi-layered melody of the spheres of which you and all-there-is is a part, this is the sound of divine abundance.  Divine abundance is your very essence, your very nature, your very truth.  And divine abundance is everywhere all the time, manifesting.  It is the material with which matter is created, it is the source of all creation, for that is the nature of sound.

Divine abundance flows through you constantly and is available to you always.  If you are perceiving lack or limitation of any sort, then you are perceiving illusions created from deep wounds and those wounds can be healed instantly by bathing in the sounds of the spheres, the harmonies of divine abundance of which you are constantly a part.  You are never not in the flow.

A Collective of Bees

I love bees!  This is going to be a week of celebration and today I am celebrating bees.  They are amazing and have so many treasures to share with us.

They have an intimate relationship with the sun, they know exactly where the sun is in every moment and live their lives connected to its sacred presence.

They dance!  They do the waggle dance to talk to each other, sharing where the food source is.  The dance is intimately related to the angle of the sun, they change the dance in response to the sun’s movement.  Oh yes, they are dancing sun worshippers.  And that dance is very telling, outside of primates, honey bees have the most complex symbolic language on Earth.

That takes us on to their attitude of unity consciousness.  They are a collective, a tribe and they act as one.

They are diligent, they are hard working and fully committed to their life journey, whether worker, drone or queen.

They embrace the sweetness of life.  Bees are busy pollinating one third of the world’s food supply, that makes them incredibly important to nature and humanity.

In ancient Egypt, they were considered royal.  In fact, the first evidence of beekeeping is in ancient Egypt, 5,320 years ago.  Wow.

Bees make honey as well as wax which is used in cosmetics and for making many things like candles. Honey is used to make mead.  Something they coat the hive with is propolis which is used in pharmacy as an antibiotic.

Bees are gentle warriors, that is the females are, they are the only ones with stingers.  They don’t sting unless they are defending the nest, because if they do, they are going to lose their life.  But what people don’t realise is that they don’t need to die.  Honey bees don’t die because of stinging, they die because we automatically swipe them away, tearing them apart from their embedded sting.  It’s a big ask, I know, but if we keep still when a bee stings us and let it remain on us for about a minute, it will carefully remove it’s sting from inside our skin and fly away intact.  That way, we get the sting removed too, sadly, the venom is still delivered.

Bees live in a matriarchal society with one queen.  There is one male to every one hundred females.

This fact is really fascinating, bees, with their five eyes and one million neurons per cubic millimetre of brain, have been shown to recognise individual human faces better than some humans!  Your bees can recognise it’s you!  No wonder folklore says they must be informed of the death of their master, they will know if some other critter turns up to take their honey.

So, what have bees come to teach us?  They teach me to respect life, to live in the moment, to live for each other as a whole.  They teach connection, unity and co-operation without fear of losing the self or losing out to others.  They teach about abundance, that focusing on the now is bringing all we need towards us in every moment, even if we cannot see it.  That life is sweet if we let it be.  That many gifts can be the product of our labours.  That communication and interaction means coming together and dancing with each other.

I found a bee in the sea once, floating alive on the surface of the water.  I scooped it up and carried it onto a sunny rock to dry off and then went back for my swim.  When I came out, the bee had flown away.  Later that day, sitting on the sand with my book, a bee landed on the page of my book and walked onto my hand.  It sat with me for a while, soaking up the heat of the sun together, and then it flew away.  I felt it came to say thank you and ever since, I have felt a special affinity with these wonderful beings.
